Service Description

A chance to complete this in two days, this fully accredited Paediatric First Aid (Child and Baby) course covers practical lifesaving skills and develops techniques for emergency situations with children and babies. The course includes: Roles and responsibilities of a first aider; managing and assessing a paediatric casualty in shock or choking; items contained in a First Aid box; recovery position; CPR with AED; bandaging, burns and scalds. **All of the first aid courses involve written and practical assessments therefore learners must have English language skills at Entry Level 3 or higher and be physically able to get up and down from the floor to complete the practical elements of these courses.** ***You need to attend all of the sessions and please ensure you bring along photo ID and/or a bank card for ID as this is an accredited course*** Additional Information: - You will receive a reminder email prior to the event - If you have any questions before the event, please call 01254 507720 or email adultlearning@blackburn.gov.uk
