Service Description

One in four people in the UK will experience at least one diagnosable mental health issue in any one year (Health & Social Care Information Centre, 2009). Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid. This one-day course provides learners with the knowledge surrounding the common mental health issues affecting young people, the skills to work more effectively with them and ways to support and relate to their experiences.
