Service Description

Join our experienced tutor and horticulturist on this exclusive opportunity in the greenhouses at Witton Park. The course will focus on developing a food growing schedule for the Witton Greenhouse through the year but attendees can also work on plans for your own garden. You will learn about selecting and sowing seeds, caring for vegetables grown undercover as well as growing fruit undercover and managing plant health organically. **Please note the following** This is suitable for complete beginners but you should be physically mobile to take part. You must wear sturdy boots or trainers as the ground will be muddy and slippery. Come dressed for warmth and practical activities outside/in the greenhouse, waterproofs will be needed if the weather is wet. • Tower Road car park is free with a 10 minute walk to the Greenhouses • The Pavillion car park by the entrance from the A674 is 80p for 2 hours and £2.00 for the full day and a 5 minute walk to the Greenhouses. Meeting point: Go directly to Witton Greenhouses, which are located within the Stables area where Myerscough College has its base.
