Service Description

One in four people in the UK will experience at least one diagnosable mental health issue in any one year (Health & Social Care Information Centre, 2009). Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid. This one off session helps learners to recognise what mental health is and have an awareness of common mental health issues including what factors affect mental health. You can learn to recognise the stigma and discrimination that surround mental health, feel more confident to start conversations and know how to look after your own mental health. Additional Information: - You will receive a reminder email prior to the event - If you have any questions before the event, please call 01254 581175 or email adultlearning@blackburn.gov.uk
