Service Description

Are you aware of the Reading milestones your child/children need to achieve in line with the National Curriculum? Do you want to be able to support your child achieve these milestones whilst learning current methods and themes of primary learning yourself? If so, this is the sessions for you. The content of the session is as follows: Course Aim To introduce parents/carers to the techniques and strategies used by schools to teach and encourage reading, to enable them to support their child’s learning at home. By the end of the session you will be able to: 1. Identify 3 benefits of reading with children 2. Explore the strategies used to encourage children to read 3. Research various web sites to use to support with reading 4. List 3 apps to use to support learning Additional Information: - You will receive a reminder prior to the session.
