Service Description

Are you a care giver to a child with special educational needs? Would you like to get useful hints and tips on strategies to use to support your child with speaking and listening skills? If so, this is the course for you. The content of this course is as follows: Course Aim To encourage parents/carers to explore strategies to identify and enhance oracy skills for children with SEND to improve communication at home By the end of the course you will be able to: 1. To explore the differences between verbal and non-verbal communication 2. To research and describe 3 methods of non-verbal communication 3. To create a resource to use to develop communication skills for children with SEN 4. To participate in an active listening exercise Additional Information: You will receive a reminder prior to the course.
